McCarthy's elements in "The Road" make it a favorite. I am making this a annual winter read. Also looking forward to starting the desert trilogy and seeing the film based on the novel.
Do you think this book would be good for Christian school high schoolers? I haven't read specifics about it but I've heard a lot of hype and I'm considering teaching literature in the future. Your thoughts?
Definitely, post-apocalyptic literature is usually without hope but the boy and the father in the story rely on one another for hope. I would recommend The Road to anyone! The more I think about it now you could make some good correlations with the book and faith.
